Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words. This is the case here. The legendary denarius with the inscription MISICO, which until recently was attributed to Mieszko I and was considered the oldest Polish coin. The latest research slightly changes the order and attributes the issue of this denarius to Mieszko II, son of Bolesław the Brave during his co-rule with Bolesław.

The presented piece is clearly a rarer type with bows. Kopicki mentions 21 known pieces.

A specimen of exceptional beauty. Healthy plate, delicate age patina, clearly minted with great mint freshness.
