At our Auction 14 – Szóstak coin of Albrecht Hohenzollern from 1535

Published by RDA on

An undisputed icon among the coins associated with Poland from the upcoming auction. Szóstak coin of Albrecht Hohenzollern from 1535. An extremely important and typologically needed coin, but practically unheard of on the auction market. This year has been listed in Poland only twice over the last 20 years (one piece), and since 1990 we have reached only 4 pieces listed in Poland in 1994, 1996, 1999, and in 2019 and 2020 (one piece).

This six was beaten for only three years; 1530, 1534 and 1535. As can be seen from the quotations quoted above, it is a coin of great rarity, adorning only the most outstanding collections of coins in the Duchy of Prussia.
