At our Auction 12 – George William and his ducal Prussia ort from 1622

Published by RDA on

These orts hold us tight. This time we present George William’s ort from 1622. They have their fans among collectors. This is not at all surprising if we look at this excellent example below. Beautiful art with a shimmering and charming patina.

Coin type with a half-figure in armour, on the sides of the escutcheon the date written in letters Z – Z. The mint mark at the end of the legend of the obverse and reverse.

It is worth taking an interest in these orts, because in our opinion, these coins are still very much underestimated and underestimated by the numismatic market, although recently there has been a very dynamic increase in interest in them.
