At our Auction 10 – A beautifully preserved trojak coin from 1766

Published by RDA on

Trojak 1766 commonly known as the Armorer. The name refers to the royal portrait of S.A. Poniatowski depicted in a characteristic armor. The coin in the NGC grading received an impressive MS 63BN rating. The specimen is in an unusual condition for copper coins. Due to the low durability of this metal and its susceptibility to environmental factors, mint specimens of copper coins from the Royal Poland period are often much more sought after and valued than thalers or ducats. A specimen of such class as the one presented below appears on the auction market every few or several years. We recommend it for really advanced numismatic collections.
