We could easily limit the presentation of this ort to a photo – lovers of the orts of John II Casimir know perfectly well what we are talking about – John II Casimir, ort 1662, Elbląg mint. We could easily skip the year as well, because the mint itself says it all.

The Elbląg orts are probably, next to the Vilnius ones, those missing from many collections of John II Casimir’s orts. Rare, desirable coins and pieces in such a good condition as the one shown below are a real object of desire for many collectors.
