At our Auction 13 – Snuff box

Adam Mickiewicz in “Pan Tadeusz” repeatedly referred to the topic of snuff as a very important element of Polish culture of the time. He developed the topic of snuff sniffing in Book IV entitled “Diplomacy and hunting” in a particularly interesting way.

And why do we mention it? Well, our June auction featured a beautiful Austrian snuff box. Very nice, classic 19th century style. The interior is gilded, the top is enameled.
