At our Auction 12 – Two coins representing different countries from different periods

Published by RDA on

A little reflection on the occasion of closing the last button of the auction – surely each of us has heard many times “what a small world it is”. Looking at these two coins representing different countries, from different periods, we have the impression that it is not only small, but also thoroughly Polish

The first – the German goldgulden of Frederick III, the son of Cymburgis of Masovia, daughter of Siemowit IV and Alexandra (sister of Władysław II Jagiełło).

The second – Spanish 4 escudos of Charles III, the husband of Maria Amalia of Saxony, daughter of the Polish king Augustus III.

And suddenly we look at them differently. Better because at least a little Polish? Yes, indeed! 😉
